In the previous section we discussed Domestic / Intimate Partner Violence and the various forms in which it occurs. If you think that you are experiencing such violence, then the first step would be to identify so.





This section of the website begins with identifying if you are facing domestic / intimate partner violence, understanding why this might be occurring, getting help, making the decision to leave, safety planning, medical support, registering a police report and legal information.

***You can help someone who is abused or who has been assaulted by listening and offering comfort. Go with her or him to the police, the hospital, or to counseling. Reinforce the message that she or he is not at fault, and that it is natural to feel angry and ashamed
